Pat. Congratulations. I can't begin to tell you how privaleged I feel to have found your site. The Starbucks story is a great one, and to say you've been there since the beginning must feel like such an accomplishment. I'm a partner who spent two years in the stores and has recently come to the SSC. As I'm very proud of our little coffee company, I have a lot of respect for those that helped forge the way. I'll be tuning in to your stories, with my breath held in awe, as you finally release yours. Cheers.
Thanks Charles... writing a book is so 90's that I felt a blog would say it best. Since the bean has been sitting on their hands for a Starbucks blog for partners this will hopefully be some encouragement for them to take the leap. Look forward to more stories etc...

1. wow, you've been around the company for quite a while.. out of sheer curiosity, what range were your partner numbers in? (i'd ask the exact number, but i really don't want to see you get in trouble over something petty, which could, maybe, happen, i think. maybe i'm just paranoid.)
2. 15 years at starbucks means you'll have some awesome stories, i look forward to it.

no problems sharing 200710. I'm no longer there so I'm not really concerned. I can tell you that I knew 200711 really well and when she was promoted to customer I was truly sad.
