I'd like to thank Pat for letting me be an official contributor to Green Apron Stories. I'm still a partner so my stories will have a different spin on them than Pat's will.
So let's start my contribution off with a bang. The Clopener. There aren't may of us around any longer as employment laws have dictated that there be a certain period of time between your shifts. I am what's know as a Clopener. I work the clopen. That means I close the store down and then I open it the next morning. This allows me to have nearly a full day off between cycles and I get to work with both groups. The openers (lots of pastries to set up, not much clean up) and the closers (markout the pastries and a ton of clean up).
So as a Clopener, I learned a thing or two about the honesty of some of my store partners. Having closed, I knew that I'd be there in the morning to adjust anything that I left out of place. Well, I didn't straighten the chairs and I had already set the alarm, so I figured I could fix it in the morning. Lo and behold in the morning, the chairs being put back in their places stood out immediately. Also, the hand full of coin left in the tip jar was gone. Now my store was only accessible by partners, so I couldn't blame the pastry guy.
Now my style will be to leave you in suspense until Pat gives me another opportunity to add to this story. I assure you that it's good.
Pat will be back in tomorrow. Have a good one. See you next time.

All hail the mighty Clopener for they need not rest nor nourishment, but copious amounts of the fresh, dark roasted brew...
